Mother Nature stopped everyone in their tracks and provided a short hiatus this past weekend. The Winter storm brought out hot chocolate, cookie baking trays and gift wrapping time while singing holiday songs like “I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas.”

I declared Saturday a pajama day and goofed off after wrapping gifts and baking some chocolate chip cookies for my nephews. In preparation for the storm, I had stashed a pint of Haagen-Daz Chocolate-Chocolate Chip in the freezer and didn’t feel guilty at all about the calories listed on the sidebar. In fact, I relished each spoonful watching a DVD and savoring quiet time.

This giant storm preceded the official arrival of Winter today – Solstice. It is an excellent time to set intentions for the days between now and Spring. Take time to reflect as we enter this Season of Light, the darkness of Winter and the promise of Spring. Blessings for the reverence of life and its continuing cycles. Love & Light ~ Light Lady!
